SMB World 2005, Canada's Small & Medium Business Show, provides Canadian SMB establishments with a unique environment designed to address their unique operational challenges and business needs. The event builds upon insights and foresights of many industry experts, an industry advisory committee, an online survey that was conducted by JG&A among its own customer base and recent research reports published by various Canadian government agencies and private organizations.

The SMB World 2005 Conference is a one-day educational forum which provides comprehensive and targeted education on how these small and medium-sized enterprises can leverage effective technological innovation and strategies for improved productivity and enhanced profitability. It will bridge the gap between SMB enterprises and industry vendors, providing a unique networking opportunity that will facilitate an exchange of experiences and ideas, generate business synergies and encourage business partnerships among its participants. If your organization is a growing small- or medium-sized enterprise, this event will help your business thrive in today's competitive global market.

The SMB World 2005 Conference is accompanied by the SMB World 2005 Solutions Showcase which will allow delegates to witness a wide array of innovative technology solutions at work.

The Business Proposition & Benefits of Managed Communications Services (MCS)

Presentation Synopsis: Technology innovations fuel productivity gains in businesses, regardless of the size of the business. These gains are even more pronounced when the technology focuses on integrated voice and data applications. Unfortunately smaller businesses cannot afford the capital acquisition costs and ongoing maintenance and support costs of many advanced IT technologies. This is particularly problematic to smaller businesses who absolutely require maximum productivity out of their employee base. This session will investigate Managed Communications Services (MCS) offerings that can be built by Service Providers for SMB’s. The range of solutions will span managed voice data server solutions, IP Centrex, Rich Presence, and Data and Voice collaboration tools. Special attention will be given to accessing these services from mobile devices as mobility further increase the business advantage of Managed Communications Services. MCS allows a small business to experience the IT business benefits as a large one for a cost effective flat monthly fee.
